The training will encompass hands-on experiments in the areas of molecular biology and animal tissue culture which will be combined with bioinformatics tools like genomics and microarray, biostatistics, structure modeling etc. This training will be focused on different aspects of molecular and cancer cell biology that provides understanding of the structural and functional relationship among the genes under study. During the training, all participants are given the necessary freedom to design, implement and handle the experiments individually (self) or in groups. The training includes primarily basic molecular biology techniques and animal tissue culture technique. Animal Tissue culture techniques is unique to this summer training program. It includes media preparation, cell thawing, cell culture maintenance, cell counting in addition to Quantification of DNA, RNA and Protein using Qubit and Elisa Plate reader, PCR, Gel Electrophoresis, Restriction Digestion, Gel extraction, Ligation, Transformation, and other basic recombinant biotechnology techniques.
